Photography with clarity, character, and craft.
Jose Vertiz is an Oklahoma City commercial photographer who walked out of grad school with a diploma in one hand and a camera in the other, having worked out early that stress management goes down easier when the shutter is clicking. He has since dragged that camera through 13 Latin American countries, from Costa Rican cloud forests to Mexico's taco lit backstreets, running on fried rice as dependable fuel and collecting contest wins to prove the mileage was not wasted. These days brands book him for campaigns that refuse to play it safe. Commercial, brand, and editorial work with bold, cinematic frames built for people who are done with stock photo energy. When he is not turning Oklahoma prairies and North Texas skylines into film sets, he is ankle deep in Gulf Shores, Alabama sand at sunrise, chasing salt spray and light that only shows up if you beat it out of bed. Jose's work is fearless, unfiltered, and unapologetically rebellious. Images that kick up dust, fling a little ocean mist, and tell the story with a punch.
